Class policies: All Crafty Gemini sewing and quilting classes require payment in advance via PayPal. Class registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. 48-hour cancellation notice is needed to receive course credit for a future class. Refunds are only offered when instructor cancels class. Instructor reserves the right to cancel any class if there are not enough students registered. Please arrive a few minutes early to set up your sewing machine and make sure we start class on time.

$30.00- Intro. to Quilting- Saturday, August 14th, 10:30-1:30pm
You will learn everything you need to know to make your own quilt top in this introductory class. You will learn how to select fabrics based on color and value, how to measure and cut your patchwork pieces correctly and accurately, and how to sew your pieces together to create patchwork blocks. You will leave with two 12.5" patchwork blocks made so you can go home and make more for your first quilt! Class supply list will be emailed to you. Requirements: Must have basic sewing skills or have taken my Beginning Sewing Class.

$20.00- Beginning Sewing Machine Class- Wednesday, August 18th, 6:00-8:00pm
This is my MOST basic beginner sewing class. If you have never used a sewing machine, but want to start making all kinds of fun projects, this is the class for you! You don't even need to have your own sewing machine. If you don't have one I have 3 loaner machines. Please specify that you will need a loaner machine when you register. Everyone will leave with a complete project that you make yourself! No need to bring supplies or anything. I will provide everything you need. If you have a working sewing machine please bring it along with all the necessary parts.

$25.00- Paper Piecing Basics- Saturday, August 28th, 10:30am-1:00pm
Paper piecing is a quilting technique of piecing blocks together that is also known as foundation piecing. There is so much you can do once you master paper piecing basics. The good news is it is easy to master because once you paper piece one block, that's it! You then know how to paper piece any block. The beauty of this technique is that you simply follow lines and stitch on a printed foundation (see image below) and the results are amazing! It is literally quilting by numbers. No precise cutting of fabric is necessary and yet it will look like you spent months working on your quilt. Supply list will be emailed to you. I will provide the printed foundation pieces as well as a few original designs I have created that are perfect for beginners!
